The Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences (NTVA) is an independent organization that was founded in 1955. The Academy is a member of the Council of Academies of Engineering (CAETS) and of the European Council of Applied Sciences and Engineering (Euro-CASE).
The objectives of the Academy are to
- promote research, education and development within the fields of technology and the natural sciences
- stimulate international cooperation within these fields
- promote the understanding of technology and natural sciences among the authorities and the public
- to the benefit of Norwegian society and industrial development in Norway.
